The Swan, Hammersmith

Good pub with a lovely exterior that makes you want to go in and an interior that makes you glad you did! Called in between tube stops for a change and was impressed. Good bitter and food.

The Coal Hole, Strand

Good pub with good bitters. Always busy but usually manage to get a seat somewhere. I like the upstairs bit where its possible to have a good chinwag amongst others who are doing the the same - a noisy (with conversation) sort of place!

The Spanish Galleon, Greenwich

Not a bad pub at all - good pint of spitfire (once the barmaid actually understood what I wanted...don't you just love being confronted with a face of complete confusion which then shrieks "uuurrrgghhh?" at you). Pleasant enough surroundings and not bad atmoshere. Would go again.

The Three Greyhounds, Soho

Lovely little proper pub - but emphasis on the little! Yes alright I did go on a sat night so its gonna be packed and yes it was raining harder than it has done for ages outside - so these factors add to the percieved smallness of the place. But i have been on quieter times and its a good pub with good bitters.

The Sherlock Holmes, Charing Cross

I was in here for the first time in ages (early 90's). Called in on sat night - it was pleasant enough, beer was alright - didn't have the bad experience that most other reviews seem to have had! Maybe i got lucky but i was happy enough there!

St Stephens Tavern, Westminster

Great pub in a great location. Very interesting interior - worth a look in for that alone. I went in recently on a saturday evening, packed with tourists of course but thats to be expected. I have also been here a while back on a sunday afternoon and it was virtually empty - so pick your time! Good beer too (Badgers). I like the place.

The Kings Arms, Waterloo

Great little pub - as a proper pub should be. Looks great from the outside, great and basic on the inside, bare floorboards, etc. Friendly staff - it's always good when you get offered 'tasters' when you are not sure which bitter to have! Excellent.

The Windmill Tavern, Waterloo

I like this place, quite darkish inside, bare floorboards, friendly, laid back atmosphere. Been in a couple of times recently - fri and sat nights and felt quite at home.
