I used to use this pub years ago when it was a dour dirty throwback to the early 60's with keg pride. But it was always buzzing. Now it has had a refurb, and several managers over a short period of time;- or so I'm told as I haven't been in. Reason! I've never seen anyon in there, its always empty. Why cant fullers do someting to make it work, that way the may stand a chance of getting their money back.

Nice place, great choice of well kept ales & ciders, clean (though the gents pongs a bit) friendly customers, no fighting round the pool table and generally seems to be well run.

This used to be the last place anyone would choose to visit. What a pleasing change, I had my doubts but they were overcome even before I saw all those handpumps, just seeing the amount of customers spoke volumes. Then such a choice. Its remarkable. Only one teeny criticism, I think the basic plan has been uplifted from the Southampton Arms, but that isn't to bas a template is it?

Been in on a bit of a crawl, first time for about a year. Didn't stay long. went back to the Sussex

getting even better, now got the kitchen re open with a very good chef, good array of beers, though mainly Fullers and now special events nights too.

The O'Briens, Brentford
seems to be struggling a bit, the amnager is doing his best though and I hope it does survive.
