Great pub with a large garden. Pleasant staff too

Now under new management and already a better pub. Ate there last week and the food was very good. Good selection of beer too.

Walked in and asked how strong the guest ale was (it wasn't shown on the pumpclip); barperson couldn't tell me. I said I'd have a pint anyway, whereupon she found the line was full of water (so why wasn't the clip turned round)? Settled for a pint of Discovery, which tasted OK, but expensive and a bit cloudy. Fullers need to get a hold of this place; they've spent a lot on doing it up but currently it's an object lesson in how not to run things. Until they do, go a few hundred yards to the Magpie and Crown in one direction or O'Briens in the other.

Went there for a dart match, the barmaid was too busy chatting to her chums and looking after her baby (about 6wks old) to be bothered to serve anybody else.
Waited ages for an expensive pint, my heart dropped when l realised it was a Fullers PH (read thieves) and then £3.20 for a pint of London Pride bilge that's only brewed about a mile down the road.
How do FST get away with it?

Nice pint of Honeydue.

Shame that whenever I'm in there is normally one or two lines not in action.
Bring back the Fullers IPA too! Staff are very friendly and food is good value.

Live music nights are good. Saw a Led Zeppelin tribute band in hear this year and they were amazing.
