The Running Horses, Mickleham

Can't understand this pubs low rating. My wife and I had our reception there 3 years back and we return each anniversary. I've drunk in the bar and that's fine and, as well as pub nosh, there is an a la carte restaurant which is really good. It is very attractive although parking can be tricky at times but I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

The Thames Court, Shepperton

I have rated this an 8 for what it is like at lunch-times. In the evenings especially in the summer it gets rather overcrowded. However to have their wonderful fish and chips at lunchtime whilst looking out over the river is a delight. It's setting by a very attractive part of the Thames is second to none.

The Amato, Epsom

Ate here last night on my birthday and the shank of lamb was really good and not overpriced. Nice pub and pleasant atmosphere. We'll eat here again that's for sure

The Bell, Walton On The Hill

What a delight this tiny pub in the middle of nowhere is. My wife who is Belarussian and has acquired a taste for English pubs in her three years here really rates this one. Only complaint is the amount we were served for lunch and the effect on our waist lines. Even I had to leave some and that doesn't often happen.
