The Plumbers Arms, Victoria

Good local pub, with decent beer and friendly staff.

Worth a visit if near to Victoria Station, as it is not like the usual rubbish boozers you find near a terminus.

The Lord Clyde, Borough

One of the finest pubs in London.

Totally unspoilt/undeveloped, with superb beer, great bar staff, and a proper pub atmosphere.

A bit weird in the winter, as they have curtains around the doors, to prevent draughts, so its a bit like going on stage, when you enter the pub.

Brilliant. Let's hope it never gets spoilt

The Patch, East Dulwich

Lose the chip ? Lose the chip ? I am proud to say that I have had this chip for a long time, and dont intend to lose it. I'm surprised 'anonymous' that being a new Dulwichian, of the Eastern variety, that you dont accuse people of having a 'French Fry' on their shoulder.

I just happen to remember East Dulwich in the old days, and, to be honest, preferred it then.

The Patch, East Dulwich

If you like the 'standardisation' of pubs, then this is right up your street. Used to be a proper old 'boozer' but has now been tarted up for the new gentrified East Dulwich. Only been in at lunchtime, and the beer was excellent. In the evening I could imagine the locals pretending they were acting out an episode of 'Friends'. Ugh.

The Clock House, East Dulwich

Good, friendly pub. Beer is well kept, and the food is decent enough. Unfortunately, it does attract the new East Dulwich crowd, so look out for more than its fair share of pretentious 'wah wahs'. Nice to sit out in the summer, and snug in the winter.

The Crown and Greyhound, Dulwich

Consistently good pub. Well kept and varied selection of beer, and really excellent food - especially on a Sunday afternoon. Good staff, and good atmosphere.

The Dulwich Woodhouse, Sydenham

Good pub for the summer, if you dont mind kids in the garden. Huge space at the back. Beer is well kept, and the food has always been reasonable enough, they have some fantastic pictures of the old Crystal Palace. Atmosphere-wise, it's the best pub in the area.

The Greyhound, Sydenham

Not too bad a pub, but I agree with previous comments. It was a great pub, in the 80's, but was utterly ruined when they ripped out the old bar, and the snug. Decent enough selection of beers, but lacks any real atmosphere. Still, probably the best pub in Sydenham.

The Bricklayers Arms, Sydenham

Actually, not a bad 'local' pub. Youngs beer is well kept, and a reasonable price. There is a pool table, and big screen sports. The bar staff are all friendly, and there is always decent music playing. Just lacks a bit of atmosphere
