Arrived opening time lunch Saturday.Outside tables rotted & broken Food debris surrounding.Don't they own a broom!!
Photo nothing like it really is weeds growing around perimeter.
Went into bar & saw an "array" of pumps.None working only Spitfire & IPA available.Looked at the menu "SIX AND A HALF QUID "for a jacket potato.What planet are these people from.Previous entry spot on "THE WORST PUB IN THE VILLAGE"
With terrible places like this its no wonder 30 pubs a day are closing.I suggest the "landlords"take a trip to the continent & see how the business should be run with cleanliness & the quality that attracts customers.Not drive them away

I went to this location a couple of Sundays back with my family including our grandchildren.
I was amazed at the friendly staff excellent service comfortable chairs in the bar & the quality of the food served.A waitress took our order at our table in the garden none of the usual "bun fight" that takes place in most pubs at the bar .
The grandchildren loved the play area.For a Sunday out 9 out of 10.
looking forward to another visit

Another establishment that likes to be classed as a "GastroPub" charging galactic prices for what is nothing more than pub food.
�6 for a sandwich is just a "Rip off".
Even "Pubspy" from the Newshopper wrote a scathing report when visiting over prices.
BY COMPARISON THE JAILHOUSE SERVES DOUBLE DECKER SANDWICHES WITH A FANTASTIC SALAD ALL FOR �3.65

We must keep it a secret This place is the best in Chislehurst at lunchtime.
Lounge bar.Wonderful service by Pauline.Loverly friendly locals.Well kept Youngs to quaff and the ham m on the bone with eggs & chips the best I've eaten in years.

Visited last Mon evening Well kept "Speckled Hen"
Meal disappointing tiger prawns on rice chewy and all totally flavourless served with a chunk of bread.Service by waitress rubbish.Totlayy uninterested in clearing plates or offering dessert menu.

Shame as The Bridge at Waterbeach Cambridge( also part of the sppirit group)fantastic attentive staff & good foodWORTH A VISIT

The Blacksmiths Arms, Cudham
Booked a table in the Restaurant .Had to keep jumping up & down to order courses at the bar.No body cleared main course dirty plates from table result we just dumped them on the bar.before we were able to order desserts & coffee again from the bar.
Perhaps we should have offered to do our own washing up & started a new trend in "PUB DIY DINING"!!!!!
