The Red Lion Inn, Horsell

Been here a few times for drinks and food at lunch time. Bit pricey but great food and service. Beer has been good quality and on the one occassion we had a 'bad' pint it was sorted immediately without question. Clean and tidy with very nice decor. Would definately recommend it.

The Cricketers, Horsell

Visited a few times at lunch times; Nice location particularly in the summer. Friendly staff and good beer.

The Oatland Chaser, Walton on Thames

Typical chain pub...lots of fake character, average beer, average food. The service tends to vary but never excellent. Not my first choice in the locale.

The Bricklayers Arms, Hersham

Best Pub in Hersham. A well maintained, great traditional pub with a warm atmosphere, always friendly and safe unlike other pubs in the area. Yes the beer is a bit pricey but you always get a decent quality pint. The food is excellent, but you need to get in at the right time on a Sunday if you want the roast as it tends to be very popular. The outside is always worth a look in the summer if you like a good show of flowers!

The Anglers, Walton on Thames

We re-discovered the Anglers in December last year, used to use it years ago but it went down hill so we stop going. Since December we have been back a number of times. The food is fantastic, top notch. The atmosphere is great, really good mix of people, they have a good selection of beers and normally 2-3 ales. Dont expect 'fast food' service on a sunny day, the place is generally packed...be prepared to wait a little, it will be worth it. They also have a really nice upstairs area looking out over the river which can be used for parties. With respect to the previous comment on football shirts I think their policy is 'no football shirts' no matter what country/team it is, along with no vests, and no topless drinkers.
