Well run tradional 2 bar pub. Finbar (excellent guy) and his team serve a well kept pint though never eaten here yet. Interesting decor. Decent clientele. RoyTheBike RoyTheBike - 25 Feb 2007 09:46
Hmmmm, yes, I noticed the extensive use of wallcoverings. But serves an okay pint and you won't get your head kicked in. Unless "Doug the boats" in a bad mood that is! anonymous - 11 Oct 2005 22:26
Excellent home cooked food at lunchtime (pies, roasts, etc.). No delays - it's served up as you ask for it. Good selection of ales too. Very popular with elderly locals. Trev - 27 Sep 2005 14:24

As members of the Hersham Bike Preservation Society we, as a genuine group of good ale drinkers, adore this local Local so very much.Unfortunately for some reason we all seem to drink vodka tonics, gin and tonics, sauvignon blanc, double tomato juice or just plain tonic.Does this say something about the ale? No not at all.It means that smaller drinks are quicker to pour and drink. The renowned management runs a tight ship and the entire crew on the passenger side of the bar relishes the repartee that the word "tight" provokes. We know better, as we can remember an occasion when drinks flowed generously until, unfortunately, one of the two pool tables got damaged after managerial interference. Joking aside the pub is clean, friendly(provided your credit is "Coutts"),and the female barpersons are sensational. On the foodside there has to be congratulations to Finbar and his professional staff. At lunchtime it would be difficult to find better food at the quoted prices and selection. In the evening the menu goes up a class, but with the same competive prices. The two specialist restaurants within close whispering distance must be seething! Keep going Finn you are doing Hersham and your bank manager a terrific service! anonymous - 13 Sep 2005 22:44
