The Hill Restaurant and Bar, Muswell Hill
Schizophrenic place this. Was quite a nice boozer called The Green Man, then it got totally gutted and turned into a restaurant which was always empty, then they put a club at the back, then changed the front into a bar, now it's a restaurant again..... and I've still not seen anyone in there!

Has cleaned up it's act a lot in the past few years but still not great. It's gone from being a cosy, shabby pub to a sterile multi-coloured one.
No atmosphere during the week and put off by the clientele hanging around the door at the weekends

Nice enough, but uncomfortably loud when the DJ's on. The music's ok but there's just too much volume.

New decor is nice, service still rubbish.
The back of the pub is just a big open space with endless tables - very echoey and gives it the atmosphere of a school dining room

Used to go here a lot, thought I'd drop in the other week and it's closed down. Looks like the whole building is coming down

Nice decor, the chandeliers look great. Good menu and a nice bookable 'opium lounge' upstairs

Nice little pub, and you're allowed to take own food in which is a nice idea. Lovely big sifa next to a fire at the back

It's not being demolished, Fairway are converting it into something. The Fishmongers Arms sign is still on the outside wall however

The White Hart, Chessington
Used to be a nice pub but went slowly downhill over many years.
There was a lot of trouble there in the last few years, so much so they were thinking about putting in a police station in the closed public loos opposite.
It's no great loss, especially with the Lucky Rover and North Star down the road
