The Royal Oak, Wootton Rivers

Miserable pub with the same old ignorant locals ignoring any strangers who dare step over the threshhold. Avoid barmaid Jodi at all costs, unless you thrive on bad attitudes want her to sacrifice your pets

The Black Horse, Cherhill

Emma the waitress very friendly and excellent food in this stop off along the A4. Great steaks also!

Waggon & Horses, Beckhampton

I forgot to add to my last review, the landlady is incredibly rude! She's actually built herself a bad reputation in the surrounding area so some locals choose to stay away. However, the food is excellent and the rest of the bar staff are fine!

The Red Lion, Avebury

Food is nothing special and the queueing to order your food is a real down side - this is not a fast food establishment.

Pheasant Inn, Chippenham

Absoutely awful! Will vow never to eat here again and to advise all I can reach in the world, exactly the same.

The Methuen Arms, Corsham

Has undergone an extensive refurbishment and the results are astounding! Excellent food, service and ales. A+

The Ivy, Heddington

Excellent sunday carvery dinner - booking advisable as people are now starting to hear about this hidden treasure!

Foresters Arms, Melksham

Great pub, great atmosphere, quiz on a Sunday, occasional karaoke, big screen TV, 3 pool tables and decent barmaids. Nice menu in the restaurant, although chef's a bit slow (waited 1hr 30mins for a steak and chips the other week)

Lamb Inn, Devizes

This pub stinks of dog! It's dirty with unclean glasses. The outside garden is a real suntrap it's just a shame the owners can't spend a couple of hundred pounds on new tables and take some pride in the place.

Waggon & Horses, Beckhampton

Excellent grub with an ever changing specials board - portions are large and a prime example of what wiltshire pubs should be serving!

The White Hart, Oare

Dire pub! Stuck in the dark ages, one bar you can only access by risking death from entering on the main road. The place is crying out for a refit and rebrand as anyone other than the locals are made to feel uncomfortable. No pool table, no music and poor choice of beverages.

The Coopers Arms, Pewsey

Great live music venue - shame the festival field was built on some years ago as it used to attract such a brilliant range of acts inc. Bay City Rollers and T-Rex around carnival time. Great beer, friendly folk and a lovely setting.

Bridge Inn, Horton

Lovely canalside location with good amount of outside seating. Menu changes regularly and the specials board always features some great homemade dishes. Have visited before and will return. Service is attentive but could do with a little humour injection!

Red Lion, Lacock

Have been to this pub many times over the years as live nearby but seems to be on a downward spiral lately. In a brilliant location and copes well with tourist numbers but menu choice is very boring and portions - average, not much on the specials board either. Nothing to write home about.

Grove, Swindon

Looking forward to this pub opening as a Harvester during April as there isn't one for over 30 miles! Food and service was already great and makes an excellent pre-match stop off before heading to the County Ground.
