Rocking as always, certainly punching above its weight for a rather dead area of town, a very rare music led pub in london and clearly dear to the heart of those in the know, marvelous x

The place is okay for a pint and it does try on the ale front ( Youngs Banana Bread Beer and Thwaites Wainwright were both drinkable brews) but there is just something about the layout that isn't conducive to stay for more than a couple of pints.

A great little pub in hammersmith. Went there for the pin quiz the Monday night pub quiz on a Monday evening and it was very enjoyable. Was a bit dissapointed they only had one guest ale on but it was a very fine pint of wainwright. After talking to the landlord he explained that they clean the lines on a Monday/ Tuesday ready to put the ales on for the later part of the week to ensure they are at their best when most people are drinking. (wednesday to sunday). So if your an ale lover I'd recommend going in the later half of the week. They also offer a discount to CAMRA members which is nice.

Corner pub at the junction of Hammersmith Road and Munden Street. It has a narrow frontage, and although the main bar doesn't stretch back that far there is also an upstairs bar accessed by a narrow metal spiral staircase (or by a set of normal stairs at the back for the faint-hearted). The layout and decor of both bars is pleasingly traditional, and the atmosphere has improved substantially in recent years. There are six handpumps in the main bar with another four upstairs, but, on my last visit, three were clipped with Doom Bar, three with Deuchars IPA and one with Old Peculier (but this was off) with the others not in use. So, beer-wise, whilst the quality was fine, the choice was much more limited than I was expecting given its popularity in local CAMRA circles.

Moved to London 6 months ago and at last felt at home when found the Albion. Staff are all friendly, beer is good (and cheap!) and the pizza is tasty. I could ask for nothing more.
