| It's a nice pub, i don't get in too often but i like it very much, nice mix of people in here. Worth a visit! reallifeperson - 3 May 2008 12:46 |
| I love this pub and have boozed there for several years. My favourite bar staff are jacky, darren and odinn. Actually my all time fave is leeann but she hardly works there at all now. bring her back mr baty! the jekylls gold is gorgeous, the food fattening but tasty, and the service is friendly and fast (usually!) my one gripe is that i cannot stand the way the asst manager (ian) barks orders and shouts at the staff in full view of punters. its uncomfortable for a customer to witness, but he is a reasonably nice bloke to have a cig with. ps get leeann in i loved helping her with answers on quiz nite. | The Friendship is pretty cool, lots of space & friendly faces. They have good live music on there on Sunday nights too, well worth a visit & less dodgy than most other places nearby. Endron - 9 Aug 2007 18:02 |
| The only 'proper' pub in the area. Decent mix of students and locals, decent beer and I'm told the food's decent too. One of the better pubs in the Fallowfield area. man_of_kent - 18 Jul 2007 15:37 |
| Must've picked a bad, bad day. Arriving at opening on a Sunday lunch opening time with a group of friends we were immediately verbally abused by the 12-year old spotty barman. Each visit to the br resulted in the round-buyer being insulted by the same spotty kid, under his breath. Patience ran out when he tried to double-charge my mate for a round. Exeunt stage left, but made the mistake of returning in the evening when he wouldn't be working. Correct, he wasn't, but the spotty munchkin was still in there pissed as a pudding giving us even more grief across a crowded room. Being a bunch of southern softies we let him off the good kicking he'd worked so hard to earn, but it was rather embarrassing for the governor to have to lob one of his own bar staff out of the pub for the night. The rest of the staff were great, enjoyed the cold beers and the footie chat, and would go there again as the other places nearby look pretty dismal. sonoftherock - 24 Jun 2007 10:04 |
