More a restaurant than a pub but the London Pride was good. The food is good too a range of different meals and really helpful waitresses. But not a country pub at all. shoreleaf - 14 Jul 2008 22:22
We visited this beatiful country cottage style pub, it was newly refurbished due to the fire which I thought they did a wonderful job. With a oldy world pub look yet modern & very welcoming. There was a great atmosphere & the food was terrific. Although they were fully booked, the owners went out of there way to make you feel welcome. Over all 10/10 KimNnathan - 27 May 2007 19:39
Visited recently for a soup lunch, homemade mushroom and it was first class - though a tad pricey at a little over £4 each. The garden is now developing well - including the commemorative cherry tree - and the car park is greatly improved. Only criticism, awful (narrow) access from the A27 but will visit again 8/10 Biker - 22 May 2007 13:36
They have done a fair job in reconstructing this pub after the fire. We had a lovely meal but the atmosphere just wasnt there for us. The staff could be a little friendlier and the landlord could make more of an effort but the chefs more than made up for the lack of service! knighty711 - 27 Nov 2006 15:46
OH what have you done to this once fantastic local pub,yes i know you were raised to the ground in a fire, but if false beams, green Basie, and lots of plastic, and thats from the smiles of the staff are all you could manage then, perhaps you should of laid this old pub to rest, along with the old photos and warmth that is now so obviously missing from its tacky interior now. clapham - 20 Feb 2006 13:28
