I am local to this pub, the beer garden in the Summer is the only thing it has to offer.
Everyone knows about the miserable old tosser who owns it, which is why they have lost a lot of old regular customers.

I have seen the cook scratch is bottom whilst serving out food, I really wouldnt eat there. To add to this, there are the owners kids running riot all over the pub, so you cannot enjoy a nice pint.

Worth going to in the Summer though on a hot day

My (elderly) mother visited and asked about food serving times. The cook was exceptionally rude to her and my Mother left, very upset. The Tudor Tavern along teh road is much more welcoming.

I have visited this pub and stayed at the hotel a number of times and only have fond memories of the place. The bar has friendly staff, serves great food, and benefits from a large, well-maintained beer garded, which is lovely in the summer. The hotel is very clean and great value for money. The location too is fantastic, being literally a stone's throw from the beach. I recommend this pub/hotel for anyone visiting the area.
