The Huntsman, Eridge Green

So djwhisky tells us there are no high chairs for babies.

Hoorah!! This is obviously a good pub to go and visit.

Boars Head Inn, Crowborough

Its a real pub! Its fantastic! Friendly and chatty staff and locals.

Good ales, Harveys, Fuller's London Pride and Westerham Brewery Grasshopper and I can vouch for the quality of the Harveys and the Grasshopper.

Good no nonsense food at no nonsense prices.

Its off the A26 just north of Crowborough but the main road no longer goes pat it. It is worth leaving the main road to get to this pub.

The Stand Up Inn, Lindfield

On 10/07/12, Fridge posted "My initial impression is that the establishment has been changed from a drinkers pub to a meeting place for the young, trendy "yummy Mummys". Let's hope I'm wrong.". I am sad to report that Fridge was absolutely right and on Sunday afternoons at least The stand Up is now a crèche with a bar in the middle.

That said, it is a very popular crèche with a bar in the middle even well after peak lunch time despite the expensive ale. The plus points are that the variety of ale is good and in my experience well kept. I particularly enjoyed the Arundel Queen's Park.

The Thai food on offer is very good and in my opinion, reasonably priced, but there is only Thai food so if you don't like Thai food or just hoped for more traditional fare, you will be disappointed.

This could be a really nice place to be but at certain times it is most definitely a place to avoid unless you want your toes run over by baby buggies and to listen to a chorus of screaming kids.
