| I'm very surprised that this great little pub should get such a low rating. I only moved into the area within the last year but visit the pub once a week or so and the beer is always good, the staff friendly and efficient, and the locals are charming. What with good live music and reasonably priced 'honest' food, what's not to like? I can only assume that the mark must have been dragged down by historic poor scores - certainly I think that The Cricketers is far better than the other pubs in the vicinty all of which score more highly on this site Sebbie - 18 Dec 2009 08:36 |

| Little gem of a pub !! Very tidy, clean and well decorated. Four choices of Youngs ales .... plus a guest beer as well. Chose a pint of Pipers Gold, and excellent it was too. Varied and interesting menu. I had the home-made lamb burger, chips and salad. The burger was very tasty with minimal fat ; good value for money. The barman was particularly friendly and helpful and i enjoyed my time here - would certainly make it my local .... if only i didn't live 90+ miles away !!! REALALETY - 19 Oct 2009 19:43 |
