| A small, two-bar corner pub very popular on match days. They may as well have a No women sign on the door, such is the lack of the fairer sex drinking in the British Queen. Located on the corner of Thorpebank Rd, where interestingly they filmed ’Monty Python’s Flying Circus’ BBC series. Also back in the late 1950’s when Rangers were then in the Third Division, the players were not well paid and often had to live as lodgers in houses close to the ground and Thorpebank Road seemed to have more than its fair share of Rangers players living in the road. tim.charles - 20 Feb 2010 07:16 |
| My local, great pub. A real pub. I'm sorry rpadam had a bad pint of Brakspears. Probably because it's been twenty odd years since a pint of that pish has been pulled. None of the regulars drink that s***e. If real ale bores want a pint of 'Sprackleys old sheep worrier' or what ever it is they bloody drink, go over to the vic. Or the Adelaide now. Take their snotty attitides with them as well. STOP THE PONCIFICATION OF PUBS IN SHEPHERDS BUSH! chewbacca - 22 Aug 2009 16:03 |
