| Shocked to learn that this establishment may have been linked to the NF / BNP. There is a lttle feeling of foreboding when you first visit. Dark somewhat gloomy feeling interior, friendlier vibe than other pubs in the area, draught lager and ales are very good, reasonable prices. Another Pub supporting rock /pop combo's at weekends which again reflects it's more aged regular custom. Great for football, with a main screen and several tv's positioned around the place so you won't miss any of the action, a very popular midweek quiz, and a tidy beer garden that accomodates a fair few of us smokers. Friendly, helpful young barman, and the same goes to the woman who appears to be the 'landlady'. Can possibly do with a little updating 're-furb', and some younger (female) customers would probably breathe a little more life into the place. barflysprings474 - 27 Apr 2010 14:21 |
