Friendly old fashioned local which felt and looked a little tired on Saturday just past, but it was a proper pub! Doom Bar was good with Otter Ale and a third ale which escapes me now also available. Friendly service but perhaps worryingly quiet for a Saturday night...

Great pub with well kept beers, good to see it's got in the Good Beer Guide at last.

Having visited for the first time immediately after lunch and a pint in the red lion it's quite a contrast. This is a boozer, and the interior is appropriately old and a little stale.
That said, the place was friendly and the beer well kept. There is a nice garden if you can find your way out.

Unpretentious, friendly old local close to the centre of the village. It's nice to sit in a pub where you can hear the clock tick (and yourself think)!
An everchanging range of guest sles with forthcoming attractions on a blackboard behind the bar, along with scores of previous pump clips.
Have tried one of the Saturday night bands and had a great time.

Good Crack. Quiet atmosphere until the jolly pub quiz gets going.
