Friday night, nice local modern pub.
Pros: attentive bar staff topped up my pint without asking, friendly mixed Friday night crowd, 4 ales - Thwaites Wainwight, Bombardier, Courage Best, and Caledonian Flying Scotsman - the last too were good (£7.10). Sports screens were in the rear. Felt comfortable on my own. Will go again.
Cons: staff throwing bottles into the bin behind the bar was a bit irritating.

Unfortunately, what used to be a fun and safe pub, where we used to spend a lot of money, has now turned into a common, dirty, dangerous pub. I walked in a few Saturday's ago, but left immediately.
The impression I got was that a big fat gypsy wedding reception was being held there.

It is ok during the day, but don't go there at night - especially on Saturdays.

Damn shame!!

Oh dear an overpriced poor quality ale boozer. Two pints one Wainwrights the other Directors for £9.00 is obscene and both were past their best and hazy. Complained to the chav barmaid and offered no apology or a fresh pint. AVOID!!!

I don't usually bother posting reviews, but I felt compelled to in this instance because of the comment from 2 April 2011 stating the place is full of "aggressive pikies". This is a rugby pub. Suggest you look up the definition of "pikies". I just moved to colliers wood 1 month ago and I have been to this pub several times since then. Thank god for this pub because I can't find another decent one in the area. Pubs that show rugby seem to be the exception and this one has multiple screens (even one outside next to the BBQ), plenty of seating and a friendly crowd of regulars. Drinks were fine, food was better than average and staff were friendly. I give this pub 10/10. For the people who rate the pub so badly, I have no idea what you are looking for in a pub, suggest you go to wine bars instead.
