We went there on a Thursday evening after it was recommended by the camp site we were staying on. The food was expensive and below average. Very disappointing. warwickbeerfan - 26 Jul 2009 16:54
Went there for food on a Saturday night recently. The place was quite quiet and I can't say that the service was anything to write home about, but the food was very good, especially the steaks and gammon. There were a couple of ales on, but I was drinking lager, so can't comment on the quality. Pubsignman - 20 Nov 2008 18:25
We waited over an hour for our food order to be taken. Our table was prebooked for 1pm bank holiday Sunday and we were a party of 8 who spent £110. Cant fault the food but the service was appalling and this was the 2nd time of trying as we considered the 1st time was bad luck. Apart from Chloe sweet little waitress the other member of staff was impatient and rude. wait between courses was approx 45mins and latecomers were served before ourselves. We had 2 children with us who were so patient. Tried to contact manager unavailable. So if you want good food but not served until the following day go for it!!Arrived at 1p.m finally left at 3.50pm I think that says it all!! sweetpea265 - 27 May 2008 15:24
A good and proper Country pub, nice and quiet most of the time except the nights at the weekend when live music is played! Good food and good beer too, nice friendly landlady. dixon75 - 19 Jun 2007 11:21
