New Management. Very clean smoke free pub. Very good food at very reasonable prices. Worth a visit.

I visited this pub in March '07 and the new tenants are great - they have really turned the pub around.

Great steak and real ale and good company.

The Rose & Crown is now under new management and is being run by a local couple determined to make the pub a success and nice place to eat and drink for both locals and visitors to Lytchett Matravers.

The pub has been completely refurbished - inside and out with a tasteful warm decoration. A new traditional menu is being served 7 days a week at good affordable prices.

With the new smoking ban on the arisen, Jenny & Fred have decided to make it a non smoking pub with a shelter outside for smokers.

The pool table has been removed and the new layout is friendly, warm and welcoming to everyone.

I agree - I used to use this pub when camping in the area and the food use to be great. I went there a couple of months ago and found it under new (bad) management. Place was dirty, service was slow and berudging and I didn't even bother staying long enough to order food
