Friendly pub, real ales on good form. Food looks and smells good and is cheap. ppw - 12 Jul 2011 15:39
Recent addition to the local real ale scene, which has been subject of several recent plaudits. I visited today and tried the Everards Golden Zest, which was nothing short of excellent. The pub itself is traditional in style, and there was a nice friendly welcome on my first visit. Well impressed, and will visit again soon. DoctorBarfly - 20 Jun 2010 21:25

Visited on Saturday 10th April. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant upstairs and then went downstairs where they had a live band playing music from 60's, 70's thru to current time. Absolutely had a great night and sampled the real ale before purchasing. Nice crowd of local people in! Will be back soon! Bridgelass - 16 Apr 2010 19:14
definately, I say, ashley, definatley NOT for vegitarian wierdos! Food is very good here at this time can't really say, can I ashley, 'bout the past or future but both the food and the real ale are most top quality. not your usual real beer outlet, probably more local than ale freaks, but at least the locals are genuine friendly and welcome...not your plastic patronising downbeat lowlife commy labour union member trouble causing lazy good for nothing miserable polly correct irratating anti social be-grudging sad sort you can find in some camra places but real people who work hard...and that includes farmers...oh I say Ashley........... however there is much room here for improvement, perhaps aim for a livelier atmosphere? not folk or C&W music please and not disco stuff, but just somethin' more lively! beerintheevening - 5 Feb 2010 23:44
