Called into The Royal Oak last week. Not been in for a couple of years and was glad to see it hasn't changed a bit, which was great news. Had a pint of Jennings Bitter which was excellent. The pub is comfortable and cosy and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The Swinside Inn is a traditional 17th century Lakeland inn. The beer garden has wonderful views across the Newlands Valley. I tried a pint of Swinside 10 in 10 Brew which was superb, especially after the walk I had just done! Hope to call again soon.

The Ship Hotel, Maryport
Visited The Ship at Allonby during our annual visit to the picturesque Solway Coast. Spent several evenings sat on the benches outside the pub watching the stunning sunsets. Alongside the usual Yates Bitter (3.7%) was Solway Gold (4.4%) - both of which were excellent. Brilliant pub in a lovely location.
