I like this pub. Its a locals pub and its got locals inside. If that puts you off then.. well.. good.
Plus points:
+ Great if you like lager, more so if you like Stella, they serve one of the best pints in south london.
+ Love the jukeboxes, nice pooltable, weird poker arcade machine from the 1890's.
+ Big screen.
+ Great Staff, I rarely wait long for my stella and the Landlord and Landlady bring around sandwiches. The Polish girls are really friendly and Caroline is gorgeous ;O)

Only bad point is that some of the clients have terrible language, even to offend me! lol

This pub was the dogs bollocks back in the 80's. Have'nt been in there in years, so will have to give it a visit to see if any of the 80's locals are still around.

'Not too hot on the real ales, unfortunately' says a reviewer below. That's a bit of an understatement- I get the feeling that the landlords actually actively hate real ales- they pulled down a poster advertising the Battersea beer festival after just two days, replacing it with another of those generic Carling/Sky Sports/what's on this month on the big screen posters. Come to this pub if you like the most average, bland, unremarkable, dull pub in existence- if your idea of fun revolves around Carling, Sky TV, Fosters and other similar pub rubbish. Would you like proper beer, proper conversation and an atmosphere where the oxygen has not been replaced in its entirety by smoke particles? Best go elsewhere (and I do, although I live 3 mins walk away).

Was in last night watching arsenal playing really badly(whats new!) Had a great time.
Loved the touch of the barstaff offering free sandwiches. Reasonably priced beer too but not too hot on the real ales unfortunately.
