| Lived around the corner from this one in the 80s. Wasn't really my local, but when lazy would pop in each week. They made it much larger when they blew out the glass wall which is a shame. Went in mid October on a Sunday reading the papes. Not bad. Very open and no problem with the barmaids. It didn't feel like a local like it used to be though (previous posting with the tourists). | Nipped in here the other day after an afternoon in Hyde Park, Was met by a very rude and surly barman, £4 a pint and £8 a chip sandwich. How ridiculous. | I have been in here on previous London visits and found it decent if nothing else could be found. This past weekend I stopped in with family and was looking forward to a pint after a long walk through museums and Hyde Park. We went in and found GK and LP- oh well, not any of my favorites but... ordered an LP and found it was off and the only real ale was GK. Ok, I guess but disappointed anyway. We ordered a Ploughman's lunch as a snack, as we missed lunch and didn't want to spoil dinner. The lunch was quite nice, with excellent cheddar, ham and fruit.
