| Usually 4 beers available at this free house, with Southport and Liverpool Organic popular as well as small to medium breweries. Extensive food range, quiet during day. | Paid our first visit here Easter Sunday afternoon, hoping for some good real ale & something to eat. On arriving a band were setting up and they just over dominated the whole pub. It's only a little pub and whilst I'm all for live music this isn't really the right sort of venue for heavily amplified stuff. Of the 6 handpumps on the bar 3 were turned round. Of the 3 beers that were available 2 were national major brands that you get everywhere. Due's Due though, the beer we did have was well kept. There was no food available when we visited and having escaped upstairs to the only free table the table was covered in stale sticky beer.
