Another change of management (for the better) and I think it's now privatly owned. Still really friendly and a new Thai menu Deodar - 10 Sep 2008 12:46
Hi, I was told it was owned by the Capitol Pub Chain (David Bruce of The Firking Pubs)but who owns it now ???? GeeGeeStables - 9 Jul 2008 22:35
This is a ‘shop front’ Irish pub that has been knocked through into the next door shop making it larger than the norm and a lot more airy. I was pleasantly surprised as the interior is much bigger than you would have thought from viewing the exterior. There are a few tables and chairs outside the entrance which are next to a very busy road and there is a small beer garden out the back with a covered smoking area. The barmaid that served me was polite and there was a selection of standard lagers alongside Strongbow, Guinness (obviously), Pride and Doombar (another pump was off). ‘All major sporting events shown’ was advertised outside for Sky Sports and Setanata and I spotted a plasma screen. I wouldn’t be disappointed if this was my local bar. Strongers - 20 May 2008 08:42
Average pub, but not as bad as it appears from the outside. Annoyingly, locals seems to get priority at the bar so you might as well leave them to it and go to The Plough up the road. swizz - 17 Mar 2008 16:42
Hadnt been to this pub for years, not living in Ealing anymore. Went there the other week after my Mums funeral, it was lovely, just want to say a great thank you to all the staff, they were very friendly, and the food and service was great. Thanks to the landlord as well, keep up the good work. Will return again sometime, hopefully on a happier note. Good luck wineontherocks - 21 Nov 2007 15:40
