| Slightly tatty pub on the outskirts of Bridport, well used by holidaymakers. The traditional pub grub menu looks reasonable and is fairly priced. Layout more food orientated than my last visit three years ago. Ordered a pint of Palmers Copper (IPA, Dorset Gold, 200 also available) and a lime and soda. The Copper served through a tight sparkler was in good condition. I think you can tell something about a pub by the price of a lime and soda, which in SW England seems to vary from 15p to £2.50 or more! The Crown Inn doesn't serve lime and soda, so no chance of popping in to quench your thirst with a cheap non-alcoholic drink here. PUBTraveller - 21 Aug 2008 15:11 |
