Used to be great when Val had it but the landlady looks like she's been given three weeks to live or perhaps she eats a lot of lemons. Beer was actually very good - Proper Job at £2.80 excellent. Full of cider smashed Jimmyboys though. johnny.sausage - 13 Jul 2010 15:37
OK it's had a new lick of paint but the landlady never cracks a smile and it's always Courage Best, Dartmoor & Proper Job on the pumps - usually all 3 are vinegar. Someone put a team in her who care and are willing to work at making the pub what it was when Val had it! anonymous - 16 Mar 2010 18:24
This pub has a clearly false rating it is being artificially boosted. Dark forces are at work 7.5 my ars*! slerpy - 31 Aug 2009 21:27
A tad on the dirty side the owners don't give a fcuk and the beer quality is p*ss poor.To get a mark of 7.5 their friends and relations are voting. slerpy - 6 Mar 2009 13:36
Not the best pub anywhere, but with regular useage, the booze is fine (especially cider) and many of the customers are interesting! dorsetaleman - 30 Sep 2008 20:09
