Lovely town centre pub, usual range of Palmers beers in good condition, had the seasonal Coastal Path.

Well worth a visit.

I have posted before but can confirm nothing has changed here. Still a great community pub offering the entire Palmers range of ales. Bar staff are friendly and families/dogs welcome.

Good as ever. Beers always on top form and the new kitchen means meals are served quicker. Bar staff are excellent - special mention to Pabs, Lucy, James, Lesley & Mark. Oh, and Andrea! What a real pub should be. John & Geraldine have cracked it with the Ropies!

A great pub that never drops its standards. I use it regularly and am never disappointed. Quiz nights, meat draws, live music, pub trips, cheese samplings. The bar staff are excellent and the beer is always on top form. This is one of two pubs in town that are definitely worth a visit.

A great community pub with something for everyone. The staff love dogs and your pooch will be very welcome. Yes, it's expensive but bear in mind that this is a tied pub and the local brewery are total rip-off merchants charging as much as £100 more per barrel than you can pay through the free trade. So don't blame the landlord, blame the greedy Palmer brothers.
