| Visited on a warm May evening and they had Tribute on as the special (third) ale which was exceptional. The Shere Drop was also drinking beautifully and I have to say I've never had a bad pint here, although recent price hikes means that I don't visit as often as I'd like. The recent decor change is not to everyone's taste, but the pub is well worth a visit for the ale quality alone. beer_monster_smudge - 29 May 2009 13:35 |
| Our walking group have been looking for a really good pub in Surrey, this is not it but as Surrey pubs go it is better than most. From the outside it looks the part, enter and the guts have been ripped out. Modern open plan, food not exciting but passable fare and the beer is ok. As mentioned before Fullers and a guest ale. But where is the soul of the pub. Maybe I am getting a little too old. At least it is free of a wide screen plasma TV. I don,t want to be too hard but if this was my local I would probably end up drinking at home. I am going to give it a generous 7, but I would not go back. John.T - 22 Feb 2009 14:56 |
| Friendly pub. Ideal start and end point for country walks, opposite the car park and duck pond. London Pride plus two guest cask ales. Lunches available, not exciting but acceptable, but note they end at 2 p.m. weekdays, 2:15 pm weekends. Smoking and non-smoking sections. Trev - 29 Oct 2006 18:04 |
| Situated on Pirbright village green, with pond opposite. Walker friendly - the best of the three pubs in Pirbright for ramblers. Three real ales usually Greene King IPA, Fullers London Pride plus one guest which changes frequently. Varied food menu from sandwiches and snacks to full meals, all at reasonable prices.
