| Went here on 2nd February (evening) and was rather disappointed to see that it is now a Beefeater (place was packed). The food was ok but nothing special, which is a real shame as it used to do very good food and a great variety. Won't be visiting again! shazzer47 - 4 Feb 2008 13:10 |

| I feel some people have been unkind here, its a lovely old pub, ok beefeaters are not great, but this has got to be there best! If you want a lousy shit hole of a pub try the Crown down the road in Shirley! Atleast the people drinking in Coombe Lodge apear to work! anonymous - 2 Aug 2007 00:41 |
| Went there for Sunday lunch, we booked a table in advance, though busy the place was not full and nobody seemed to have a problem getting a table. The food was good but not great and the portion's large, I got a lot of meat but not much veg. The staff were very accomidating as one of our party asked for something that was on the bar menu when we were in the restaurant.
