Our family use this 'watering hole' frequently, both for a quiet drink and good food, and since the new landlady and landlord took residence we have seen a considerable improvement in lots of different areas, e.g. new exciting menus, quiz nights on Sunday as well as the usual Thursday evening one, cleanliness, much better car parking in their large car park etc. etc. We get asked frequently by visitors to the area where to eat and drink and have no qualms whatsoever in recommending this delightful old eating/drinking house with friendly landlord and landlady and their staff Carnaby - 17 Jun 2009 10:19
Very much food orientated with a strong smell of vinegar and cooking. Excellent pint of Jennings Bitter and extremely friendly and helpful landlord/manager. simontheeditor - 12 May 2009 19:20
Recently changed management, and sadly the worse for it. Great pub that is let down on food side - recently introduced new menu with over inflated food prices with reduced portions that leave you hungry. And probably the worst price in Britain for draught Peroni - £3.70 a pint!!! vicardave - 7 May 2009 13:51
Extremely friendly barman made this pub, which is a typical slightly upmarket Jennings pub that you might find in the Lakes. The Jennining Bitter was OK, but secondary to the pub. mtaylor40 - 21 Feb 2009 18:36
