| While on a work visit, took a walk down Baldock High street and popped into The Cock Pub for a pint and was pleasantly greeted with a friendly welcome from the Landlady and staff. Great atmosphere and lovely pub surroundings. Tried the IPA and found it to be excellent. Supped some Ale at the bar with some of the locals and staff, who had time to chat! Lovely pub, old traditional setting too. Liked the IPA, The St Peter's Best Bitter was great too. Beers and Guest Ales were tip top, definitely worth a visit or three! | Well, back in sunny Baldock yet again. Nice going for a drink around town centre. Some very nice Ales at The Cock Pub, Ale Fresco pretty nice and very tasty Reverend James, then off for a few more pints up road and a lovely curry! | My first visit this year and it was bitterly disappointing. Both the St Edmunds and a guest called Sorcerer were in very poor condition. A great shame as this is a nice pub. wobblybob - 8 Apr 2011 19:54 |
| Good Abbots and St Edmunds.... very well kept and went down well. Loved the guest Ales too.... great choice. This place has the respect and appreciation of a good crowd that only many years of good management can build.
