user reviews of the Pineapple, Amersham Common

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

It is owned by Vintage Inns, with the usual faults and virtues, but it's more of a restaurant than most of their pubs. Seems to be popular, though.

99% restaurant, 1% pub but food was good, quite reasonably priced for the area and service surprisingly friendly. Only two ales on, the ubiquitous London Pride and a low gravity seasonal from Adnam's so hardly a place that is going to have the real ale mob queuing on the doorstep. Garden looked spacious and maybe worth a trip in the summer.
Suspect it might be owned by our friends Vintage Inns or one of their ilk.

building has now reopened as a pub (sadly a gastro pub by the looks of things) called the Pomeroy Inn

The Pineapple closed a couple of years ago, the building is now a Thai restaurant.

First let me say that I go here a lot... but not because I like it that much... I prefer a proper drinking pub with great ale and great food... but we end up here alot with the kids when I want to get out of the house to watch rugby/footie and this is close to my house, shows sports, kids are safe and the staff is nice. Clean, but a bit too 80's fern bar.

Not a bad place. Went few weeks back and the staff were very friendly and seemed pretty busy too. Seemed to have a good food menu too (didn't try anything). Went during the day so I will try going at night next time. One of the better pubs in Amersham

Sad to see the Old manager retire from there.....

He made it all seem worth while going!

A genuine family pub. The staff are very happy and enthusiastic and it is so nice to see such a safe environment for them to be in, so us parents can also chill out and sample some of the Pineapple's beers and food.

Too many bloody kids running around here. For all the refurbishments it still has a tacky social club feel to it!

Truly a family pub.
Kids love it there and are truly catered for. Smart and pleasant inside with a large pation area with plenty of seating outside for those hot days.
With a new menu started and frequent BBQ's this one is a winner!

This place is a complete change to the Pineapple of old, a place to be avoided in daylight, never mind after dark! The place has had a major overhaul and is welcoming, the food is excellent, the beer good and the staff friendly. The owner himself makes a point of coming round and speaking to all his customers that go for a meal to make sure they're satfisfied. Keep it up!

I recently held a family birthday party at The Pineapple Pub and was exceptionally pleased with the pub and food. The staff were friendly, polite and glad to help us with drinks or food. All the staff were very accommodating to our group and ensured that each and every one of us enjoyed our evening at The Pineapple.

The pub is well decorated with modern furnishings and is very clean especially the toilet facilities. The food is varied and tasty with a range of foods including a low fat menu for those watching their figures! All the food is very reasonably priced and group bookings are accommodated.

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening we spent at The Pineapple and will definitely return in the future, whether for a family party or just for drinks and some food.

Definitely a pub to try if youre in the area!
