The Pineapple, Amersham Common

First let me say that I go here a lot... but not because I like it that much... I prefer a proper drinking pub with great ale and great food... but we end up here alot with the kids when I want to get out of the house to watch rugby/footie and this is close to my house, shows sports, kids are safe and the staff is nice. Clean, but a bit too 80's fern bar.

The Sugar Loaf Inn, Little Chalfont

Recent remodel and new ownership have done wonders... Really nice staff, remembered my name a month later after just one short visit. Treat my kids really nice and even extended me credit when I was a wee bit short. The food is excellent and the main attraction but a bit pricey. Very convenient to the train/tube station, decent garden, very nice interior from recent remodel. No TV, no games, but a very pleasant place for a beer with some friends and a great meal.
