Turfcutters Arms, East Boldre

Great pub. Lovely and relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Also very dog friendly. Was a great day to visit on a wet day with people to talk to and a love open fire. A place you feel you could relax in all day if you did not have to drive home. Beer was good. Food menu looked inviting but we were eating later on in day so did not try. They have dog friendly accommodation so we hope to go back next year probably.

The Fishermans Haunt, Christchurch

Visited this pub for the first this weekend. The beer was excellent with a good choice of Fullers ales all in good condition. Food was excellent with a wide range of foods including a fair bit of game and fish and thankfully not all with chips. Plenty of different eating areas including one where we could take the dog. Everywhere was clean and tidy including loos and the staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and nice beer garden if the weather is right.

All day breakfast was very good for the price and the three pints of Beartown Black Bear went down a treat. Called here on the 4th June 2011 and will go again.

The Swan Inn, North Warnborough

Popped in here saturday evening for a pint of King John pale ale @ 4.2 ABV, slightly warm as was the J20 out of the fridge!! The bar woman did not look very salubrious and kept flicking her greasy unkempt hair from across her face while pulling a pint. Just about managed to finish beer. Will not be going here again in a hurry.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch which was very nice and well presented. Of course the Beer was excellent being Piddle Ale so i had to have a couple of pints. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" managed half a pint of the same.
With food and drink like this, we will have to come and stay for a weekend as we could always take the dog

Dolphin Hotel, Beer

Food here is excellent and we drank mainly the guest ale which was Hopback Summer Lightning @ 5% ABV, which was well served and very drinkable. Service very good and we would recommend this to anyone.Get there early evening to ensure a table, its that good we dined and drank here 3 evenings out of 4.

The White Hart, Charter Alley

What can i say- such a wide choice of Real ales although i only tried the one from Church End Brewery and the food is very good. Would like "she who must be obeyed" to let me try the whole range one evening- that way i wouldn`t need to go to another pub for the evening. Bit off the beaten track but well worth finding.

14 May 2008 21:33

Queens College Arms, Tadley

We came here Sunday evening with friends for meal and beer.Well up to Hall & Woodhouse standard-which is very high. Hoppinghare went down a treat so had a few pints. Food also excellent and would recommend this pub to others.Beer staff very good as well.

The White Hart, Sherfield on Loddon

Popped in on May Day-very busy nd very popular. Not much choice in beers-Youngs Special,Youngs Best and Wells bombadier all of which have been on for ages. Pint of Special for self and 1/2 of Best for she who must be obeyed. Barman plonked them HIS side of the beer clips making me reach over the top to retrieve them. Beer garden untidy with grass left uncut. This was an excellent pub when Youngs first took it over.Youngs take note;and for goodness sake change the beers. Pity Fullers didn`t get it- Fullers take note!!
