| What on earth has happened to this establishment ? 20 years ago the beer was good, the food was excellent and the atmosphere comfortable. 5 years ago the beer was adquate (more often than not), the food was edible (generally) and the atmosphere plastic. I've visited again in the last fortnight - I can't comment on the food, after the previous offering I decided to give it a body swerve. The beer left more than a little to be desired. But the atmosphere..........A manager who's approach would curdle milk, all drinks poured like lager or cider - from height and without thought of the end result. Earwigging the locals it sounded as though the only reason they drank there was that it was the lesser of two evils, there only being 2 pubs in the village. | Dropped in here the other night on my way home. Must say I had a good pint of Youngs Special. Pleasant enough inside with an 'olde worlde' feel. I'd drop in again when passing. 7/10 from me. Can't rate the food as I never tried any....sorry!! wolvesfan - 8 Dec 2012 10:41 |
