The Cherry Tree, Leicester

since the shires are going to be improved in a modern way supposed to be finished sometime soon this pub will stick out like a sore old thumb stuck on a corner
I can't say i have ever been inside but dare i go in as i imagine looking from the outside there may be dirty old men sitting at the bar and when i walk in with a friend they might think xmas has come early

Horse and Trumpet, Wigston

on visiting this pub i found that it needs updating and i didn't like the ripped seats to the right of the main door as you walk in or the dirty carpet
the drinks are ok and we had a meal which was nothing special and more of a o.a.p meal than anything with under average portions
I wouldn't eat there again but would probably go back in 5 years or so to see if anythings changed

The Manor, Glen Parva

I have to say that on visiting this pub i found the food not to be of the best quality, bit fast food, microwavey with bland tastes, slow service, and over priced and also the landlady kept walking around the pub watching every move which made it feel an uncomfortable meal
I don't think this is suited to familys with children anymore and since they got rid of the ball pit in the winter for children it is to boring
The outside play area however on warm days is lovely and also the walk through the country near the pub but i suggest you just have a drink there and forget the meals

Fairfield, South Wigston

Me and my family went for a meal here and i have to say for the price i was dissapointed and still hungry after the meal so i won't be returning
Also the atmosphere was a bit bland and flat but the people who worked there were friendly enough

William Wygston, Wigston

Me and my family visited this pub and i have to say that i find it disgusting.
The table mats were stuck to the tables and if you do decide to eat there i wouldn't look under the tables as they had nose remains, chewing gum and what looked like maggots under them.
My mother was about to look and i said i wouldn't if i were you and as we sat on a table up the top end of the pub because we had children with us i went over to the fireplace while waiting for the meal and there must of been one inch of dust where it had never been cleaned, well this year anyway.
The menus were sticky and when the meal came one item was missing and when i challenged the amateur behind the bar he just said oh i forgot to tell you we had no mushrooms left so i asked for extra toast instead and 5 minutes later i heard a loud moaning from the kitchen that they had to do more toast
would i go back no way as cleanliness should be paramount with regards to food and indeed this was not on this occation
but please visit and you'll see what i mean as i suggest they shut the place for a clean as you never know what your eating or drinking for that matter

Ye Olde Bulls Head, Woodhouse Eaves

Me and three family members visited the bulls head and we did not like the meal and did not think it was value for money..
The service was very poor and unfriendly and we all stated that there are better places to eat..
I would not recommend to go there..and as i wrote a very detailed letter to the manager complaining about the meal it would of been nice and more professional to of received a reply as unfortunetely i did not..
not a very happy customer,will not return..sorry..
