First time visit. Good welcome from bar staff. On a lunchtime the service was good and the food very good. Felt the need to write something more recent.

Okay if you prefer gastropub overpriced food rather than good honest beer ini the evening. Pay your money and take your choice.

Food can be very Formulaic. The manu is so long the freezers must be very big. Beer selection OK but service can be slow - if you're not eaten. Usually full of Lutonians out for a classy rural meal.

The Strathmore Arms, St Pauls Walden
Fantastic for range of beers and welcome of landlord. Also unique range of deadly chili sauces on the bar. Try if you dare - not for the macho!

Closed and has been for a while - is it not possible to remove pubs from the guide - or put them into an archive section?
