The Haycutter, Oxted

Venue has been closed for a few months now, and expected to be reopened but by enthusiastic couple with experience of country pubs.

The Barley Mow, Tandridge

Delighted my a recent visit, the two most prominent members of staff were excellent and complimented each other, the pork and red cabbage excellent as was the fish and chips . The normal selection of real ale, all good but 10 out of 10 to the staff for making a pleasant evening. Dog friendly, garden and placed well on footpaths in Godstone / Oxted border. A traditional country pub that is delivering .

The Mayfly, Chilbolton

I recently discovered this gem whilst looking for a dog friendly pub with good food, it scores very highly in these fields. The great choice of well kept beer out beautiful location a real bonus. We were made most welcome and I was impressed by the food and service. Back again next week but really looking forward to the spring when the outstanding location will do it even greater justice. Excellent pub.

The Oxted Inn, Oxted

This pub is a disgrace, noisy, unruly yobs are left to do as they please. Tables are covered in dirty glasses and plates. The so called Duty Manager doesn't even look over 18yrs and is not in control of the premises.
Don't bother.....

Royal Oak Inn, Staffhurst Wood

Great location, and with fine ale and very good food, in fact the best pub food ever tasted it should be a great pub. For maximum enjoyment try and visit when the idiot landlord is day off !!.
A rude and ignorant man, who only survives as he is behind the bar so infrequently.
You will know if he serves you.

The good news is that from March 2007 the pub have new owners, the food at realistic prices is ery good. The range of bager beers excellent including hoppy hare. now open all day, with food available we can expect great hings.

The Botley Hill Farmhouse, Warlingham

second year on the trot, good beer and views but dirty tables, one rude member of staff. don't know the words please or thank you. At 4.30 on a very hot summers day it is entertainig to see customers arrive and clear a table, just as you had to . No manager and obviously no one cares. Sunday obviously different but like the locals one to be avoided.

The Old Bell, Old Oxted

The best thing about this pub is the large well lit car park, use it to visit The Crown just down the road, recently taken over by a chain who employ staff who hate working in the trade, but I expect their cheap.

The Crown, Old Oxted

Excellent pub, fine choice of beers, friendly staff and customers, roaring fire, let alone good food and garden.
