It's a Badger pub so expect Badger beer in abundance. I chose Poachers out of a bottle rather than anything on was a very warm day after all. The garden was a creche for noisy young kids but they were harmless enough. Inside, the place was decked out like an eatery, aiming for the local wallets rather than discerning beer drinkers. Still, it was clean, quite homely and pleasant enough. Perhaps evenings are livelier in a good way. Tandridge is a pretty village without any facilities whatsoever (no buses, no shop) so a pub is a luxury that ought to be used by the locals to keep it going.

Called in here for dinner after a day out at Chartwell, Had a lovely meal and could not understand why it was so quiet.

Well worth a visit.

Sussex was on and it was very good on a unfeasibly sunny October saturday. The garden is very pleasant and service very good.... I like the Barley Mow.

Delighted my a recent visit, the two most prominent members of staff were excellent and complimented each other, the pork and red cabbage excellent as was the fish and chips . The normal selection of real ale, all good but 10 out of 10 to the staff for making a pleasant evening. Dog friendly, garden and placed well on footpaths in Godstone / Oxted border. A traditional country pub that is delivering .
