The City Arms, Coventry

Large pub serves the same range of food that I have not eat for years, beer excellent and cheap. Beer kept lovely and most guest beers less than two pounds.

The Nursery Tavern, Coventry

This pub has been going down hill for a couple of years, less people are using it so the price keeps going up. Last night and before I have seen beer from the slops tray being put into customers glasses. Another ploy to make more profit but very unhealthy, if you drink here make certain you stand at the bar so you can see your drink being poured, this can be difficult as some is from the other room so pick your place with care. Preferably at the end of the bar. My visits here are very numbered if this practice does not stop I will be off, don't think if you are a regular it won't happen to you because it did for my mates and me and I have been drinking here for over twenty years.

The Nova Scotia, Bristol

Beer and food excellent, ate and drank hear a few times over the week. Locals very friendly and Helpful with recommendations on where to eat, drink and visit. Little private room at the end gives the best advice. The pub has not been decorated in years but this adds to the character of this gem. Food excellent, gammon, steak, lasagne very good tried them all.

The Whitefriars Olde Ale House, Coventry

Drank here many times now, never had a below average or bad pint. The beer has always been superb, I like really dark or light beer great range of beers from all over and many from Byatt's Brewery Coventry. Only bad point is that the gents floor is often wet so check your laces before you enter.
