The City Arms is a large Wetherspoons in a prominent position on a busy roundabout. Unlike most branches of Wetherspoons, it looks it was already a pub before they took it over. It even has its own small car park at the front. But it is pay and display and you'll be lucky to get a space. Luckily we got served before quite a few others arrived at the bar. So service was quick. Ales were Sadlers Mud City Stout, Byatts Blackfriars Porter, Greene King Abbot, Ruddles Best, Sharps Doom Bar, Quantock Plastered Pheasant, Loddon Hullabaloo, Marstons Old Empire, Jennings Sneck Lifter & Grainstore Rutland Beast. Cider was Black Dragon. The pub has a few little nooks and crannies, giving it a little more character than most. Better than average.

Large pub serves the same range of food that I have not eat for years, beer excellent and cheap. Beer kept lovely and most guest beers less than two pounds.

Large and clean Wetherspoons in a leafy area of Coventry directly opposite a Methodist church and who knows how well that would go down?
Several ales on pump as well as a couple of ciderse.

One of the better JDW houses in Coventry. Nice suntrap beer garden out back.

Went here last night for some beers with friends. Excellent ales and the cider festival was great too. Good atmos for a spoons on a Saturday evening. Went back for lunch this afternoon. Big mistake - food was utterly horrendous even by spoons standards. My mixed grill tasted like the meat had been cooking for a month. Great place for drinks but give the food a miss!
