The White Horse, East Ham

Possibly the worst pub I've ever had the "pleasure" of visiting

Bertie's Bar, Wimbledon

I went in here for the first time last week and won't be rushing back. The music was really bad and blaring, the decor was average but the service was absoutely awful.

The first tme at the bar despite there being no one else waiting took an eternity to get served. Once served I was short changed by a fiver and had to argue with the barman before he 'gave me the benefit of the doubt' and begrudgingly gave me the rest of my change. No problem with the barman making a mistake but his attitude was shocking...

The Sussex Arms, Twickenham

Have been a couple of times since the refurb. Great choice of beers & ciders, good music and had a top notch Sunday roast in the beer garden.

From being a pub I would avoid at all costs it is now one of the best pubs in Twickenham.

The Fox, Twickenham

Very good little boozer with friendly & varied clientele. One of Twickenham's better pubs.

The Crown, St Margarets

Average gastropub. Very child friendly but not somewhere I'd visit again in a hurry.

Henry's Cafe Bar, Covent Garden

Hideous. Went there for a pint on Saturday after waiting 15 minutes to be served, I then sat at a table with dirty cutlery left on there during the time I was there. Not what you expect when you are paying nearly 5 a pint. Avoid.

The Tollemache Arms, Harrington

Nice food, good beer and skittles!! Friendly locals too will call in again next time I'm in the area.

The Coach and Horses, Brixworth

Had a very pleasant lunch there yesterday, was very impressed with the food and service. The pub could probably do with a lick of paint and new carpet though.

The Dog and Duck, Soho

Very busy little boozer, it was full of loudmouthed teenage girls last night.

Mate was shortchanged by the barman too and when challenged he didn't even apologise. Won't be rushing back.

The Coach and Horses, Soho

Went in there last night and was pleasantly surprised by the piano and sing sing going on in there - the atmosphere was really friendly too.

On the down side the only draught lager on sale was Carlsberg as they had sold out of all othr varietes. Good job I'm not that fussy but it's not too clever having a pub without beer!!!

The Richmond Arms, Richmond

Sadly it looks much nicer from the outside than it actually is once inside. Pretty poor.

The Angel and Crown, Richmond

One of the best pubs in Richmond, great town centre location just off the main high street. Not bad for watching the Footy or Rugger, friendly atmosphere but can get very busy.

The Britannia, Richmond

Nice little boozer in a handy location. The toilets let the place down big time.

27 Mar 2010 00:26

The Churchill Arms, Kensington

Very busy and its easy to see why. Excellent boozer. The only downside was the Thai food at the back of the place upon asking fora table we were advised that we could not take longer than an hour - then after eating our food we has to wait 20 minutes to get the bill!!

Paxtons Head, Knightsbridge

Popped in last night on the way back to the tube. Good boozer and friendly bar staff, wouldn't go out of my way to visit but not bad if you're in the area.

The Rifleman, Twickenham

Tatty boozer, poor choice of lager and I was charged 50p for paying with a card. Won't be rushing back....

The Blues Bar, Soho

Had a very enjoyable time there last night. Great music, friendly atmosphere though a little busy.

The Cricketers, Richmond

Great location, average pub. Much better options only a stones throw away.

7 Feb 2010 19:12

The Eel Pie, Twickenham

Very good boozer, friendly atmosphere and great range on beers.

6 Feb 2010 19:20

The Hammersmith Ram, Hammersmith

Nice decor & atmosphere. Service is shockingly bad, beer & food good quality but very expensive.

6 Feb 2010 16:58

The Goldhawk, Shepherds Bush

Beer good. Food - nothing short of disgraceful.

I ordered a burger from here and told the barman that I did not want cheese, said burger came 10-15 minutes later with cheese on.

No problem, I took it back and explained to the barman. No more than 2 minutes later a burger arrived! A bit funny I thought - upon looking at the burger the chef had simply tried to scrape off the cheese rather than cook me a new one.

George IV, Chiswick

Very good boozer witha great little comedy club at the rear. It gets very busy at the weekend! Recommended.

6 Feb 2010 16:49

The Misty Moon, Twickenham

Hideous boozer. Full of alcoholics spending their giros.

6 Feb 2010 16:42

The Bear, Twickenham

One of the better bars in Twickenham

6 Feb 2010 16:40

Orange Tree, Richmond

Not a bad pub but nothing special. Very expensive too.

6 Feb 2010 16:36

The Lot, Richmond

Avoid like the plague unless you are either...
1. Skint (the beer is very cheap)
2. You like the company of very noisy, drunk students

6 Feb 2010 16:31

O'Neills, Ealing

I've visited twice recently. Standing area is extremely busy and the elevated seating area has smelt strongly of vomit on both occasions. Friendly enough bunch though (just a shame about the stinky seats)

6 Feb 2010 16:27

The North Star, Ealing

Best boozer in Ealing, admittedly that's not too much of a tall order. Good range of beers, very busy at weekend. It closes rather early though and the staff are rather abrupt at kicking you out.

6 Feb 2010 16:23

The St James Tavern, Brighton

Best boozer in Brighton and one of my favourites anywhere. Very friendly atmosphere with a wide range of people in there.

6 Feb 2010 16:21

The Drum and Monkey, Archway

Should be called the Drum & Dog Basket as it's like sitting in one. The place stinks of a wet dog. Wipe your feet on the way out.
