The Misty Moon is a former Wetherspoon's pub that is now privately-owned. This must have been one of 'spoon's smaller pubs and given the popularity of the William Webb Ellis over the road, I can see why they chose to re-locate. I've yet to find a decent takeover of a Wetherspoon's establishment and this one was no exception. Despite its small size, the Misty Moon was dead compared with its counterpart. There are still a couple of ales - Pride & Bombardier. The barmaid didn't know off hand how much my Pride was. So they clearly don't sell much of it. Disappointing.

Went in there last night not realising it was no longer a Wetherspoons. Very disappointing: of the six handpumps, four had Courage Best and two London Pride. Very limited food range if you don't fancy Thai, and fairly desperate atmosphere dominated by table of middle-aged drunks bellowing at each other. Drank up and got va bus up the road to the utterly wonderful Sussex Arms!

Saturday night, same old same old. Nice pint of Broadside and only 2.10 But this pub leaves you feeling you'd like to go home for a shower. What you get is what you pay for I guess.

Things have changed since the days of spoons the gents has been refurbed apart from no bolt on the cubicle there is nothing wrong with them and the removal of the rude irishman behind the bar has improved the place not even spoons wanted him all staff except him went over the road he was the last remnant of spoons anyone would think he was there for his own entertainment asked him one night what match was going to be shown he replied celtic cos i want it on pub was nearly empty by half time

D.J. Needs kick up a*** too fond of putting an album on and dissapearing outside to smoke and drink and coming back when last track of album starts. The other night he must have been playing b sides he was going for over an hour before I even recognised a song yet sometimes even with this d.j it is sometimes a good night.service pretty good not too expensive compared to some in Twickenham
