Is now part of the Greene King empire, has had a complete refurb and is now called "The Cooper's Brook".Food still fine, and ale in good condition.Service very good.

The breakfasts are out of this world, all freshly cooked food and plenty of it.

A really nice pub to sit and relax in , staff are very friendly.

Revisited this week, and in the smaller bar which is accessed by the side entrance you will find a much more pub-like atmosphere and a couple of handpumps serving perfectly acceptable GK IPA. Had a meal here away from the fanily area and that too was very good. Not a pub for a real session, it's too food-focussed, but if you're in the area and looking for a decent bit of nosebag and a quiet pint then it's fine.

Used to be the brewery tap for the Home Ales brewery. Now a part of a chain that has painted it yellow and purple. Full of families eating meal-deals. No real ale. Don't bother unless you're looking for admittedly reasonable food, but be prepared for a LONG wait at peak times.
