Since my review after the pub reinvented itself it has grown in popularity primarily as an excellent Indian eating place. Unfortunately it no longer serves real ale - the nearest you get to decent beeer is bottled Black Sheep.

Went here with friends who are (fairly!) local to the pub - brilliant place! Food excellent, beer excellent. Can't be faulted! Miles from anywhere really, and deservedly popular with walkers. Would love to revisit in the near future!

Reinvented again as The Birdcage. Still aiming at the (very) young market. Have no intention of ever going in there.
