THIS IS A PUB THAT IS AIMED MORE AT DINERS THAN DRINKERS ,WHICH IS A SHAME AS IT FALLS BETWEEN TWO STOOLS.. IT SHOULD BE ONE OR THE OTHER..!

THE BEER WAS PRETTY NONDESCRIPT(IT IS GREENE KING!) BUT THE AMBIENCE WAS OKAY.

Nice enough, food is usually good (can be cold sometimes...) nice range of beers. Suffers from not having a proper landlord/lady. A bit lacking in atmosphere. Occasionally they play piped music (oh no). They managed to get the balance between cafe/restaurant/pub right though. Local artists exhibit. Occasional live music. Pretty quiet during the week.

Good, home cooked food, but the menu has pretty much stayed the same for two or three years! They also have too many beers on - they aren't selling them fast enough to keep them in good condition, and the wine list could have a bit more choice on it.

This used to be an old man's pub that sold very good Guinness. It has now been taken over by the old landlord's daughter and turned into an old English with slight shaker styled gastro pub selling mediocre Guinness.
